RESPECT THE WORK. RESPECT THE PERSON.

Terms and Conditions.

A space for learning, evidence, and thoughtfully shared achievements.

These terms explain the intended use of the Njeme portfolio and its private family studio. Read them with the Privacy Policy. The parent or guardian identified below manages this portfolio.

1. About this portfolio.

Njeme documents a young person’s projects, experiments, creative work, community contribution, awards and nominations. It is a personal evidence portfolio, not a university, scholarship provider, certification service or public social network. Displaying an achievement does not independently verify it or guarantee admission, recognition or a scholarship.

2. Respectful use.

You may browse published work and share public page links. Use the site lawfully and respectfully. Do not harass or impersonate the child or family, misuse images or recordings, attempt to identify private locations or routines, distribute malicious files, disrupt the website or bypass account/media controls.

Do not use portfolio content for unauthorised commercial endorsement, impersonation, advertising profiles, biometric identification or exploitative depictions. Automated extraction and reuse must respect privacy, intellectual-property rights and applicable law.

3. Family studio and accounts.

The studio is for authorised family accounts, with no public registration. Keep credentials private, use a strong unique password and tell the operator about suspected unauthorised access. The parent manages the child’s sign-in and public sharing.

A child may create drafts, add evidence and request review. Only a parent can publish or delete an entire entry. Child changes to published work return it to private review; there is no separate live public revision during editing.

The child uses the studio under parent or guardian supervision. These terms do not ask the child to enter a commercial contract or give permissions that only an authorised adult can provide.

4. Ownership and permissions.

Creators and rights holders retain ownership. Uploading or displaying work does not transfer ownership to visitors. Music, code, photographs, logos and third-party material may have separate licence conditions.

The family should upload, embed and publish only material it has appropriate rights and permissions to use. An authorised upload gives the site the permission needed to store the material, display it to its chosen audience and include published titles, summaries and images in normal page/link previews. This is limited to operating the portfolio and does not authorise unrelated resale or endorsement.

Credit collaborators and explain the child’s contribution. Obtain appropriate permission for other people’s image, voice and information, particularly where children are involved.

5. Accurate records.

Describe real work honestly. Awards received and nominations are separate labels. Do not invent award names, organisers, dates, volunteer hours, results or qualifications. Leave unconfirmed details blank. Starter examples must remain labelled and must not be represented as completed achievements.

A certificate, recording or link supports a story; it does not mean the website has verified its authenticity. The family may correct entries as information becomes available.

6. Sharing and reuse.

You may share published page links using WhatsApp, another service or a copied URL. A link does not grant permission to republish photographs, recordings, code, certificates or substantial written work. Ask the rights holder or parent where permission is needed, and respect applicable licences and lawful rights.

Public content may be downloaded, forwarded or cached. Unpublishing cannot recall copies outside the site. Sharing a page must not imply the child or family endorses a person, organisation, product or cause.

7. External services and media.

YouTube, supporting websites and social destinations are controlled by their providers. Their terms, availability, age restrictions and privacy practices apply when used. They may remove material, block embedding or restrict access. The portfolio cannot promise that every format, codec or external player works on every device.

8. Availability, backups and removal.

The website may change or become temporarily unavailable. Keep independent originals and matching database/files backups. Deletion permanently removes entries or attachments from active application storage, without ordinary in-app undo.

The operator may restrict unauthorised access or remove material to address privacy, rights, security or accuracy concerns. This does not remove obligations to preserve or provide information where applicable law requires it.

9. Safety and responsibility.

Projects document learning; they are not instructions certified as safe to repeat. Experiments, tools, electrical components, robotics and online activities may require adult supervision and suitable precautions. Consider your circumstances before attempting an activity.

The site cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free content, external availability or academic outcomes. Nothing here excludes liability, statutory rights or duties that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Concerns and applicable law.

Contact the parent or guardian about privacy, accuracy, permissions or suspected misuse, identifying the relevant page and concern. Applicable law governs the rights and obligations involved. These terms do not select a court, impose arbitration or remove mandatory protections.

11. Changes to these terms.

The date above identifies the current version. Review the terms before introducing public accounts, transactions or materially different information practices.
